Northeastern University Seattle- Graduate Campus
(available to ALL WBBA Members)
Founded in 1898, Northeastern University is a private research university located in the heart of Boston. Northeastern is a leader in worldwide experiential learning, urban engagement, and interdisciplinary research that meets global and societal needs. Our broad mix of experience-based education programs—our signature cooperative education program, as well as student research, service learning, and global learning—build the connections that enable students to transform their lives.
The Seattle Graduate Campus opened in January 2013 and offers high-demand graduate degrees aligned with industry in the region and around the globe, in science and technology, business and nonprofit leadership, and health-care innovation. Our graduate campus is located in Seattle's South Lake Union neighborhood, an epicenter for innovation and discovery, and home to many of the city's leading companies.
Co-op (short for "cooperative education") makes a Northeastern education richer and more meaningful, providing students with experiences at home and abroad that help them develop the knowledge, awareness, perspective, and confidence to transform their lives.
By integrating rigorous academic programs with challenging workplace experiences, Northeastern’s co-op program has developed into the most successful program in the world. Each year, over 7,000 students are hired into co-op work experiences by nearly 2,500 employer-partners in 81 countries. Students alternate semesters of academic study with semesters of full-time employment in positions related to their academic or career interests: in business, health care, education, engineering and technology, the visual and performing arts, and public policy, to name a few.
We have found that employers realize the value of co-op as an innovative way to meet current workforce needs and cultivate their talent pipeline with talented, skilled, and motivated student-employees. For more information, email Stephanie Pure or call (206) 467-5484.
