Domesticating Global Health Series
Attendees of the events in this four part series will receive an overview of critical topics in Global Health. Come learn how to leverage the global health community to build a stronger sector and experience commercial success. All sessions will be approximately 2 hours and paneled by 3 to 4 topic experts.
Approximately 75-100 people are expected to attend each event. The series targets broad audiences comprised of WBBA core members and local economic leaders from the public and private sectors.
Objectives:
- Identify and feature global health innovation with domestic applications (and vice versa)
- Leverage global health community to create “Sector” — elevate profiles state-wide
- Identify barriers to expanding the sector and where the GAPS in economic funding and policy
- Identify and facilitate potential partnerships in the Sector
- Position Washington as a Global Health Epi-Center
The First of this Four Part Series was held in November of 2009 and provided an overview of the Global Health Mapping and initial GAP data.
