The Life Sciences community in Washington state is rich with resources that extend our knowledge and serve as additional critical resources.

The Washington State Department of Commerce has launched to help Washington State small and medium-sized businesses find local, state and federal resources to support their export strategies. The site helps companies that want to:

* Build or expand their export plan
* Find export grants and loans
* Find local and international opportunities to connect with potential customers and business partners.

NCI Clinical Assay Development Program (CADP)

Access to tissue and laboratory resources for analytical and clinical validation of an assay to predict response to treatment or disease outcome. Available technologies will include immuno-histochemistry (IHC), in-situ hybridization (FISH and ISH), polymerase chain reaction (PCR and RT-PCR), and traditional Sanger based DNA sequencing. Microarray and massively parallel DNA sequencing (Next-generation sequencing) and mass spectrophotometer assay services may also be provided. New Subsidy Program for Projects Promoting Asian Site Location in Japan for Japanese FY 2011

Aug 23, 2011 -- The Subsidy Program for Promoting Site Location in Japan is intended to sustain and strengthen high-value-added business sites in Japan and to achieve sustainable growth of the Japanese economy by supporting the establishment of new high-value added sites in Japan, such as Head Sites or R&D Sites, which have been proven to have a significant impact on the Japanese economy, and to strategically and proactively invite and build high-value-added business functions that match the strength of the Japanese economy.  Learn more
