Where does the time go?

It seems like yesterday I was saying Happy New Year to all of you, and now the year is nearly half over.

Our biggest event of the year, Life Science Innovation Northwest is really shaping up to be bigger and better than ever. We set a new record already this year with 80 presenting organizations selected for the conference. We are also very proud that Jeff Raikes, CEO of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is keynoting the conference this year. Jeff will highlight some of the outstanding work that the Gates Foundation is doing, as well as the ongoing efforts between the public and private sectors focused on helping people around the world live a better, healthier and happier life. >>Read more - Letter from the President

Member Spotlight- iSYS Adaptive Optics Inc.

iSYS Adaptive Optics Inc. (iSYSAOI) is a Canadian research and product development company which specializes in medical optics. iSYS presents a completion of new concepts that are germane to the world of physiological optics. Briefly stated, the iSYS’ Adaptive Lenses are designed to work within closed compartments that function well underwater or in open space. Their component structures are simple, and are made of durable materials specifically suited for human lens replacement. iSYS intraocular lens systems function upon normal cycles of constriction and relaxation of the muscles with the eye to restore perfect visual function. Due to intrinsic properties of iSYS Adaptive Lenses, we refer to the iSYS intraocular lens implants as Bionic Lenses. They conform to their environments as they customize to fit each eye individually, and then continue to adapt for growth and change over time as stated in the company’s Mission Statement: ‘iSYS Adaptive Optics Inc. is in the business of fundamentally changing the way people see and experience the world around them – one person at a time’.
