It is hard to believe that 2011 is coming to an end! Where did another year go so quickly?

Welcome to the last edition of “The Innovator” for 2011.

Since the last edition of “The Innovator”, we have produced several more incredible events, released the 2011 Life Science Economic Impact Report for Washington state, continue to support dozens of life science start-up companies with our Commercialization efforts, and continue to focus on growing life sciences in Washington through our Policy efforts!

Events:

In October, we hosted the 5th Venture-Investor & Partnering (VIP) Forum this year, featuring Bayer Healthcare. Nearly 100 interested parties came to hear our guests from Bayer present an overview of how to partner with them. Then nearly 20 companies and researchers met with their business and scientific leaders 1:1 in what was one of our busiest VIP Forums to date. In order to let our hair down, we hosted this year’s 3rd Pub Night at the Pan Pacific. It was wall-to-wall with WBBA members, in what was a very enjoyable evening. WINGS was next, in what is turning out to be a very successful initiative! The discussion at the Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine event at UW’s Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine was outstanding, as was the discussion at Translational Medicine: From Bench to Bedside.  >>Read more - Letter from the President

WBBA hosts a private meeting suite and evening receptions at the 30th Annual JP Morgan Healthcare Conference
January 8 – 12, 2012

To accommodate the need for private meetings while you are attending the 30th Annual JP Morgan Healthcare Conference, WBBA has reserved a suite and is currently taking reservations for your 1:1 meetings.  WBBA will also be hosting evening receptions on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 5-7 pm.  We hope to see you there!

The conference is the premier conference of its kind, bringing together established industry leaders, emerging fast-growth companies, innovative technology creators and globally minded service providers. Last year the conference attracted more than 300 companies, both public and private, and delivered presentations to more than 4,000 investors.
